Privacy, measured.

For Good Measure Limited (“we”, “us”) is an impact evaluation consultancy based in Hong Kong. This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.forgoodmeasure.hk, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We comply with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (“PDPO”), and we extend equivalent care to visitors from other jurisdictions.

We collect personal data in exactly two situations:

• When you contact us. If you use our contact form or email us, we receive the name, email address, organisation, and message you choose to share. The contact form is delivered to our inbox via EmailJS, a third-party email service.
• When you accept analytics cookies. With your consent — and only with your consent — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site: pages viewed, approximate location (country or city level), device and browser type. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

We do not sell personal data, run advertising, or build marketing profiles.

This site sets no cookies until you make a choice in the cookie banner. If you accept, Google Analytics sets the following:

• _ga — distinguishes visitors; expires after 2 years.
• _ga_* — maintains session state; expires after 2 years.

If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is measured. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) so we don’t ask you on every visit. You can change your mind at any time:

Contact details are used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where it leads to a project, to deliver our services. Analytics data is used to understand which content is useful and to improve the site. We retain enquiry emails for as long as needed to handle the matter, and analytics data for no longer than 14 months.

Data may be processed by our service providers — EmailJS (contact form delivery), Google (analytics), and Vercel (website hosting) — under their own privacy and security commitments. We share personal data with no one else, unless required by law.

Under the PDPO you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and to request correction of any inaccuracy. You may also ask us to delete data we no longer need, or withdraw consent to analytics at any time using the button above. We respond to all requests within 40 days as the Ordinance requires — usually much faster.
